A Free Kids Book from Barnes & Noble :)

This Summer, the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program, “Imagination’s Destination” is back. For kids 1st through 8th grade who can get a free book for participating.

To do join in all you have to do is download the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program “Imagination’s Destination” Reading Journal, read any 8 books & record it in the journal. Once your reading journal is complete, bring it to a Barnes & Noble store near you by September 4th, 2012 & choose a free book from the Barnes & Noble free book list.

It’s a great way to get kids excited about reading.

Home Depot Free Kids Workshop – 07/07/2012

The next Home Depot Kids Workshop will be this Saturday, July 7th, 2012. It starts at 9 am and lasts until 12 pm, or until they’re out of free project kits.

For children 5 to 12 years old, these workshops are meant to teach tool safety while the kids have fun and make friends. It helps them gain a sense of achievement with each project they complete.

Goodnight iPad… The Mom & Dad Version of Goodnight Moon :D

I first saw this book at the public library, while I was looking for some children’s books. ‘Goodnight Moon’ by Margaret Wise Brown, is a classic children’s book that I used to read to my son, so I’m very familiar with the distinctive colors & layout.

‘Goodnight iPad’ by Ann Droyd, caught my eye. It expresses exactly how I feel some times. I laughed so hard when I read it. If you have a wired family then you must check this one out. I even found a YouTube reading you can get a look at.
