Lowe’s Free Kids Workshop – 04/28/2012 :D

The next Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic will be this Saturday April 28th 2012. If you don’t know what this is yet then your kids are in for a treat. These free kids events are designed for children 1st to 5th grade; although I have seen children both younger and older attend.

It starts at 10am until they run out of free project kits which is usually around 11.30-12.00am. Depending on the project, kits can run out fast so show up on time or earlier to make sure your kids get a free kit. You can also sign up online a week or so in advance and they’ll save a kit for you, but  only until 10.15 am. After that they have to give them away to kids waiting who didn’t sign up.

‘Cubiciti’. A Really Cool Educational & Fun Toy Concept :)

This is a really smart idea. My own son would have lots of fun playing with it, but the problem is, there’s only one set in the whole world. 🙁

The good news is, Addy Widjaja, the inventor of this unique toy would like to make many more. He has started a kickstarter for it so if you would like to get a Cubiciti set for your child then you can help him make this a reality. Widjaja has until May 27, 2012 to reach his goal. You can learn more about Cubiciti at their official website, http://cubiciti.com.

Cute Easter Cupcakes :)

Easter brings out the cupcakes in all of us. There were so many good ones this year that I had a hard time picking just a few to show here. I’ll start with my favorite.

What I like about these Chocolate Easter Birds Nest ones, other than the fact that they look so simple and pretty, the nests look so naturally arranged. Got Chocolate has a nice tutorial on how to make them. Give it a try.
