If you’re a coffee lover, Coffee Joules could be the solution for you. Thanks to Dave & Dave, two 20-something mechanical engineers who invented the Coffee Joulies, it will be available for the public later this summer. They launched the idea on Kickstarter.com to raise $9,500, but it was so successful that they made over $300,000. Now, they’re rushing into production for the 10,000 sets ordered by investors from Kickstarter.
Coffee Joulies is made of stainless steel, shaped like coffee beans, and are very easy to use & can be use over & over again. You just put a few Joulies into your hot coffee or tea (any hot drink really) as soon as it’s poured.
The Joulies will cool down your hot drink to drinkable temperature three times faster by absorbing the energy from it, & then the Joulies will release the stored energy back into your drink slowly, keeping it the right temperature twice as long as normal.
The hotter your drink is, the more energy the Joulies absorb to keep your drink hot longer. Also, the better insulated your cup is, the better Coffee Joulies work. If you need to keep your drink hot for longer then five hours, then you’ll need to use a well-made vacuum thermos instead of ceramic mug or cup.
