Depending on where you live you might have to learn to make due with much less (Tokyo, New York), or maybe lots of empty space might be the norm (Mid Western US, Detroit). This is not the first time someone has pondered this question either.
This is Dai Haifei, a college graduate/architect who built the egg-shaped bamboo home in northwestern Beijing’s Haidian District. He actually lives in it too. There’s no kitchen so he has to eat out which is fine since he works and saves tons of money on rent. This also means that he doesn’t need a food storage space making more room for his books. Read more about it at Weird Asian News.
So of home is where the hart is then what is enough. Do we have enough stuff, or can we do with less?
You might remember the 90-Sq. Ft. living space I posted about a while back or The couple who traveled the World for 11 years straight; living in a car and having 4 Kids along the way.
