The next Home Depot’s Kids Workshop will be on April 7th, 2012. It starts at 9 am and lasts until 12 pm, or until they’re out of free project kits. This Home Depot free kids workshop is designed for children 5 to 12 years old.
You don’t have to register in advance to participate. just show up as early as possible to claim your free kit. Some projects are more popular than the others so they might run out sooner.
Many projects allow for need a little creative painting, so paint & brushes are usually provided. Other projects only need stickers which will come in the free project kit itself. Each child gets an orange apron & an achievement pin that they can collect to show off after each workshop.
These workshops are meant to teach tool safety while the kids have fun and make friends. It helps them gain a sense of achievement with each project they complete.
For this upcoming Home Depot free kids workshop, the kids will be making a Window Bird Feeder. I can’t find a picture for this Window Bird Feeder, but I’m sure it will be a great one. 🙂
