On Tuesday, August 7th, 2012, LEGO® Stores are having a free event for kids ages 6 to 14 years old. The kids will learn to build a LEGO mini model that they can then take home with them.

This LEGO Store free event will start at 5 pm until they’re out of supplies. Arrive on time or early since the lines can get long.

A new LEGO model will be available each month & will be specially themed for that month. For August, 2012, the kids will be building this cool LEGO Shark.

If you don’t have a LEGO Store that’s close to you, your kids can still build the Shark, using LEGO pieces that he/she already owns. A free PDF download with all the steps is available.  If your kids don’t have the pieces yet, you can always order the pieces you need with Pick a Brick section of the LEGO store.
